Announcement 27th March 2020: Thame Town Music Festival 2020 postponed to 2021
After much consideration at Festival HQ, we have decided to postpone Thame Town Music Festival to 2021. At the heart of the decision is the health and safety of the whole community plus:
1. We rely on emergency services as back up and can’t deplete their resources.
2. The festival is created on the motivation and good will of volunteers who believe it is the right thing to do. It is unfair to ask people to help during this crisis.
3. Our supply chain is vulnerable (pa companies etc) and potentially lots of bands, volunteers, stalks etc will be unable to make it. None of us want to run a substandard event.
We have taken soundings and gratifyingly most people (sponsors, acts, volunteers and partners) are agreeing to roll over support and commitment to play/be a venue/stall until next year.
We will be back in 2021 with a real celebration. I'd love it if you were with us!
