- As part of our mission to help unsigned musicians and performers bring their music to a wider audience and to showcase and support new talent TTMF are delighted to be running the TTMF songwriters’ competition sponsored by Christopher Ward (London), a watch company with British heart, and a purpose to provide opportunity to many in owning affordable watches of premium quality. With such fundamentals, Christopher Ward is supporting emerging British talent through their Challenger Programme, providing valuable financial and marketing support.
- Songwriters will be invited via the TTMF website, social media and general marketing to submit original compositions as YouTube videos of a live performance of the song to the TTMF website. The song can be of any genre but must be able to be performed by not more than 3 people using acoustic instruments (piano/guitar) and should not last longer than 5 minutes. In June 2018 ten finalists will be selected by a panel of 3 judges from the music industry and the finalists will be invited to perform the song to an audience on Friday 13th July in Thame Barns Centre. There will be a short interview with the artist covering the inspiration for the song and then a performance. At the end of the 10 performances, the judges will select a winner based upon: originality, creativity, lyrics, melody and overall likeability. The winner will be given the opportunity to perform the song on the Festival main stage on Saturday 14th July, be nominated for the Christopher Ward Challenger programme for financial and corporate support and the song will be professionally recorded and videoed for use by the artist. The winner will also receive promotion and support from the TTMF and its affiliates.
