Thame Town Music Festival
Saturday 9th July 2022
Thame Town Music Festival is a FREE one-day festival held in Thame Town Centre and multiple venues around the town.
We close the roads and the fun kicks off with the Main Stage outside Thame Town Hall at 12 noon. There are 11 venues with over 70 acts! All genres, all brilliant!
This year’s headliners are the fabulous BIG COUNTRY!!
Thame Town Music Festival is ticketless and open to all, it is a not-for-profit event funded through donations, grants and sponsorship and is organised by a dedicated team of volunteers.
New for 2022! BBC Introducing and ACM Stages
Thame Town Music Festival is delighted to announce that BBC Introducing will be part of the festival! The 2019 festival held in Thame town centre and 8 other venues attracted an estimated 12,500 visitors. In 2022 the organisers are adding a special dedicated BBC Introducing stage to highlight the young, emerging talent. The stage is to be curated by radio presenter Dave Gilyeat and his team at BBC Introducing in Oxfordshire.
We are also very excited about our new partnership with The Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM). ACM has been training artists, producers and business entrepreneurs for careers in the creative industries since 1995. ACM Alumni include some pretty well-known names, such as Ed Sheeran, Matt Healey of the 1975, Newton Faulkner and many, many more. This new stage will feature artists who are current students plus it will be headlined by one of our favourite bands, China Bears – who are also ACM alumni.
