Self Help have got a name for themselves for their rambunctious punk style and energetic live shows. They began as the Din Twins in 2016, when guitarist and singer Danny met drummer Silke and realised a shared love for in-your-face rock and roll. The duo was later joined by Lizzie on bass and Sean on guitar, who had also found a sort of refuge in the Oxford Music Scene. The fierce female rhythm section and sensitive boys on guitar soon started to make waves and attract the attention of local music hero Ronan Munro, BBC’s Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson, Jon Hillcock and Dave Gilyeat. Self Help toured across the UK throughout 2018 and 2019, and have released two EPs, "Birthdayboy" and “Organic Noise Kitchen”. After taking a hiatus along with the rest of the world in 2020 and saying goodbye to their drummer Silke they welcomed Jake and Paddy to play drums and keys.
